Dimmable table lamp Karl-Johan by Signe Hytte The Danish designer Signe Hytte, who likes to design as minimalist as possible, but also has an eye for detail, was inspired for the lamp series Karl-Johan by an autumnal excursion into the forest. Therefore, the table lamp resembles a mushroom not by chance. The short narrow base consists of smoked oak wood. On top sits the "mushroom head", an almost spherical lampshade made of opal glass. Technically, the lamp is still equipped with a small but fine detail: a dimmer switch. Signe Hytte's design is produced by the Danish company New Works. Based in Copenhagen, New Works has a portfolio that includes both furniture and lighting, as well as other decorative and furnishing items. The style can be defined as a mixture of design and art in the sense of Scandinavian minimalism.
