The MGO value shows the milligrams of methylglyoxal per kilogram of honey: an MGO 514+ contains at least 514 mg/kg, the minimum stated on the label. New Zealand Honey Co. holds UMF licence no. 2060 and is randomly audited by the association, so you know exactly what you're buying among so many diluted or mislabelled products. WHAT UMF 15+ MEANS: MGO (methylglyoxal) is the compound that determines a Manuka honey's grade — the higher the number, the more concentrated. This 500g jar holds a dense, velvety, almost fudge-like honey with a herbaceous flavour, caramel notes and a clean finish. A genuine monofloral Manuka honey, not a flavoured everyday honey.
