This NGK glow plug is a sheathed, 5 V metal glow plug designed to help diesel engines start more reliably in cold conditions. It is identified as Y8020AS / 92886 and replaces BG9Q6M090BA (1694936). Before starting, the glow plug is energised to heat the glow tube to more than 800 C, improving cold-start performance and optimising combustion to reduce smoke and emissions.
