NGK Glow Plug Y 146R (7492)

The NGK Y-146R is a genuine NGK glow plug.NGK glow plugs provide the heat a diesel engine needs for a clean cold start. The heater element is sealed inside a metal sheath, or a ceramic sheath on the fast-heating types, and reaches well over 800 degrees C within seconds of the ignition being switched on. A quick, even glow improves starting in cold weather, reduces white smoke and rattle in the first minutes of running, and on later engines supports the post-heating phase that keeps combustion clean while the engine warms through. NGK supply glow plugs as original equipment to many diesel manufacturers, and each part is built to the voltage, thread and reach of the engine it is listed for.NGK specificationPart numberY-146RStock number7492Hex12 mmThread diameter10 mmThread pitch1.25 mmOverall length100.5 mmTerminal4 mm threadedGlow tip length28 mmMarked Voltage7 VInstallation torque15 - 20 NmSpecification data supplied by NGK Spark Plugs (UK).
