The NGK R6725-105 is part of the NGK Laser Platinum range.NGK Laser Platinum is an original-equipment long-life plug with platinum on both the centre and ground electrodes. Platinum's high melting point and resistance to erosion mean the gap barely grows over the service interval, so the plug keeps its factory ignition performance until the scheduled change. Designed to be fitted as the direct replacement where the manufacturer specifies this part number, especially on engines with distributorless or waste-spark ignition where the ground electrode wears as fast as the centre.
