This double ballhead articulating arm with 1/4" screws on both is designed to expand more mounting possibilities for different shooting scenarios, such as monitor, lights, audio recorders. There are rubbers on the end to help keep the weight from unscrewing its self. Also they prevent the monitor from scratches. The arm also looks really nice and is even dampened by the o-rings they put in the ball heads. The tightening knob will lock down the whole arm almost at a single point (rather than gradually); so you can easily loosen it, adjust, and lock it back down. The tightening knob is better too because it uploads spring and has those wings which allow you to really clamp it down. The wings could be pulled out and turned to user friendly positions.
