During the sale of a large drug shipment, she witnesses the murder of two police officers at the hands of mobsters. Before dying, one of the police officers manages to give her a notebook with the addresses where the mob launders its money around the world. Gloria manages to escape and is deported to Spain, where she left some time ago fleeing from her paraplegic husband and a poor and boring life. Her mother-in-law, who distrusts her, demands that she find work. But Gloria decides to use the valuable information in the notebook to solve her life quickly. What she doesn´t know is that a ruthless killer, played by Federico Luppi, is looking for her to recover the notebook and then kill her. One of the best Spanish films of 1995. It won most of the Goya awards, and won the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival. A thriller directed with efficiency and solidity. Without limiting itself to action, the film delves deeper into characters on the edge of the abyss through an intelligent script written by Díaz Yanes himself. Victoria Abril´s performance is masterful. Pilar Bardem and Luppi are sensational.
