This autobiographical tale recounts Mizuki´s cherished childhood memories in the 1930s, set against the backdrop of Sakaiminato, a small coastal town in southwestern Japan. With profound nostalgia and tenderness, the celebrated mangaka tells of his early years growing up in a modest family, chronicling his spirited fights with friends, his adventures at school, and the innocent pangs of first love.At the core of this narrative is the unforgettable character who gives the book its title. NonNonBa, a mystical and superstitious old woman, becomes young Shigeru's guide, introducing him to the vast and wondrous world of yokai—the grotesque and fascinating supernatural entities from the medieval Japanese bestiary. It is through her stories that the veil between the mundane and the magical is lifted, forever shaping the boy who would become one of mang´s greatest visionaries. In *NonNonBa*, Shigeru Mizuki masterfully blends the everyday chronicles of a bygone era with the fantastical settings that have earned him his unparalleled reputation since his iconic series *Kitaro*. He offers readers a work imbued with the charm and simple elegance of the stories we were told as children, creating a universal experience of wonder, friendship, and the powerful influence of folklore. This is an invitation to witness the genesis of a master´s imagination, presented in a narrative that is both deeply intimate and universally resonant. For fans of Japanese culture, historical narratives, and exquisite graphic art, *NonNonBa* is an unmissable and foundational work.Language Attribute: SpanishTechnical Specifications:* Author: Shigeru Mizuki* Publisher: Astiberri Ediciones* Collection: Colección Shigeru Mizuki* Format: Paperback with flaps* Dimensions: 17x24 cm* Pages: 424 in black and white* Original Title: Nonnonbā to Ore (のんのんばあとオレ)* ISBN: 978-84-96815-62-0. tradeinn Techinn
