Lamp Masters
The Birdy Table Lamp Swing Black/Black proves that good withstands the test of time. Birdy is an elegant collection consisting of table lamps, floor lamps and wall lamps of two different sizes. The was put together in 1952 in a modernist style that still holds up today.
The colour range of the collection offers Black/Brass and White/Chrome, and Grey/Metallic, making Birdy useful in many different situations.
NB
The lampshade is the same colour inside and out.
Birdy is an award-winning collection that was manufactured and sold by the Norwegian electricity company Sønnico in Oslo for years. The table lamp was once awarded the Golden Medal at Triennalen in Milan, although back then it was known as "s-30016". Birdy’s a little easier to remember.
After a few years in the archives, the lamps were put back into production in 2013 when Northern Lighting decided to re-launch the classic. A lot of effort has gone into maintaining the original shape and the functional properties that ensured the lamp’s success back in the day.

Lights.coBirdy Swing table lamp: a design classic from 1952 in a new edition The creative mind behind the Birdy Swing series of lights, which includes this table lamp, was Norwegian industrial designer Birger Dahl (1916–1998), who gave it its geometric look with soft contours and clear lines. Birger Dahl had a decisive influence on Nordic style, and Birdy Swing quickly became a design icon. In 2021, Birdy Swing is being reissued thanks to a collaboration between Birger Dahl's family and the Northern company. It is a pleasant additional light source that, thanks to its timeless design, suits many interior styles and can be used in a variety of ways throughout the living area. - On/off switch installed on the head
