The designer Mads Sætter-Lassen belongs to a new generation of Danish designers. He graduated from the prestigious design school at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and went on to study at university. He pursues an approach that combines elements of interior design with the principles of furniture construction, metalworking and ergonomics. He sees himself as an advocate of democratic design. His focus is on simplicity and functionality. This is also reflected in his works - instead of embellishing them unnecessarily, he emphasises the beauty and integrity of materials.
