He graduated from the renowned design school of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and then went on to study. He pursues an approach that combines elements of interior design with the principles of furniture construction, metalworking and ergonomics. He sees himself as an advocate of democratic design. His focus is on simplicity and functionality. This is also reflected in his works – instead of embellishing them unnecessarily, he emphasises the beauty and integrity of materials.
