The colour range of the collection offers Black/Brass and White/Chrome, and Grey/Metallic, making Birdy useful in many different situations.
NB
The lampshade is the same colour inside and out.
Birdy is an award-winning collection that was manufactured and sold by the Norwegian electricity company Sønnico in Oslo for years. The table lamp was once awarded the Golden Medal at Triennalen in Milan, although back then it was known as "s-30016". Birdy’s a little easier to remember.
After a few years in the archives, the lamps were put back into production in 2013 when Northern Lighting decided to re-launch the classic. A lot of effort has gone into maintaining the original shape and the functional properties that ensured the lamp’s success back in the day.

Lights.coDesigner table lamp Birdy in retro styleBirdy's birth dates back to 1952, when the Norwegian designer Birger Dahl (1916-1998) created the Birdy lamp series. Clear geometric shapes without decorative details and flourishes are Dahl's trademark. In Birdy, this means that the shade consists of a simple aluminium cone and is held by a slender frame with two practical joints. The table lamp, which is perfectly suitable as a desk lamp, is adjustable once at the shade and once in the middle of the frame. Products in the typical 50s and 60s style like the Birdy table lamp are trendy again nowadays. The purism that underlies this style and especially Birger Dahl's style is the best basis for the product to look modern at all times.
