Oakley MOD1 Junior Youth Ski & Snowboard HelmetEquip the next generation of mountain adventurers with the Oakley MOD1 Junior Helmet, a masterpiece of safety and style designed specifically for young skiers and snowboarders. Drawing inspiration from the clean, minimalist lines of a classic skate-style helmet, the MOD1 Junior offers a lightweight and low-profile design that kids will be excited to wear. This helmet delivers simplicity without sacrificing the premium functionality and protection that the Oakley brand is known for, making it the perfect companion for every on-mountain journey, from the bunny hill to the terrain park. The foundation of the MOD1 Junior is its commitment to a perfect, secure fit. Understanding that a poorly fitting helmet can compromise safety, Oakley has engineered the Youth Fit system. A key component of this is the innovative Wheelie Wedge, a removable insert strategically placed at the rear of the helmet. This clever feature helps prevent the helmet from rocking backwards—a common issue for smaller heads that creates a dangerous wheelie effect. By securing the helmet´s position, the wedge ensures greater forehead coverage and promotes a more seamless, gap-free integration with ski goggles, enhancing both protection and comfort.Functionality is at the core of the MOD1 Junior´s design. The helmet features the industry-leading BOA® 360 Fit System, a fully adjustable dial at the back that allows for a precise, customized fit that envelops the head securely. This micro-adjustable system ensures the helmet stays in place during dynamic movements, providing consistent protection all day long. For ultimate convenience, the helmet is equipped with a revolutionary Fidlock® Buckle. This magnetic closure system allows for effortless, one-handed fastening and unfastening, even with bulky winter gloves on, eliminating the frustration and pinching associated with traditional clips.Comfort is paramount for long days on the slopes. The MOD1 Junior incorporates a fixed ventilation system that allows hot air to escape from the top of the helmet, preventing overheating while maintaining a comfortable internal climate. The liner and earpads are fully removable and washable, making it easy to keep the helmet fresh and clean throughout the season. This design also offers the versatility for riders who prefer to wear a beanie underneath their helmet. Finally, the brim is carefully designed to work in harmony with Oakley goggles, featuring forward-facing ventilation that allows air to flow through, significantly reducing the risk of lens fogging.Technical Specifications:* Youth Fit: Includes the removable Wheelie Wedge insert to ensure proper positioning, enhance forehead coverage, and improve goggle integration.* Liner & Earpads: Removable and washable for hygiene and comfort.* Goggle Integration: Seamless compatibility with a brim designed to help prevent goggle fogging.* Design: Low-profile, lightweight, skate-style inspired.* Certifications: ASTM F2040 and CE EN1077.* Attribute: Without Lens.* Includes: Helmet Travel Bag. tradeinn Snowinn
