Limited 10-year Islay release, 18,000 bottles. 167 PPM and 57.3% ABV, aged in ex-bourbon and Grenache Blanc casks for a bold, wine-kissed finish. Rich aromas and a layered, fruity-spicy palate with a long finish. Octomore 2nd Release Islay Single Malt 10 year old 57.3% ABV Nose: Heavy rain after a hot day on wet sand and pebbles on the coast, sweaty leather, smoked mandarin cheesecake, earthy smoke, oyster sauce, smoked mushroom pate, tobacco and oatmeal. Palate: Smoked pear, salty apple, oat biscuits with smoked cheese, herbal lime notes, something floral and spicy in here too, peppery ripe orchard fruits. Finish: Smoked greek yoghurt, earthy herbal, lime and elderflower cordial, salty goats cheese drying into a lozenge like vegetal finish.
