Rich aromas and a layered, fruity-spicy palate with a long finish. Octomore 2nd Release Single Malt Scotch 10 year old 57.3% ABV Nose: Heavy rain after a hot day on wet sand and pebbles by the coast, sweaty leather, smoked mandarin cheesecake, earthy smoke, oyster sauce, smoked mushroom pâté, tobacco and oatmeal. Palate: On the palate, smoked pear and salted apple rest against oat biscuits and smoked cheese. Herbal lime brightness dances with floral hints, while peppery ripe orchard fruits roll through a spicy, lingering finish. Finish: Smoked Greek yoghurt lingers with earthy herbs, lime and elderflower cordial, while salty goats’ cheese dries into a lozenge-like vegetal finish.
