General description Owatrol Oil is a versatile, highly penetrating air-drying oil that can be used alone or added to paint. As a rust inhibitor, it provides a tough, flexible finish, driving out excess moisture and air from rusted metal, effectively stopping rust in its tracks. When used on porous wood surfaces, it saturates and protects the wood from moisture damage and prevents paint from peeling. Additionally, when added as a paint conditioner to any oil or alkyd-based coatings, it enhances wet edge time, improves flow, and increases adhesion.
