The outer fabric combines polyamide with a polyurethane membrane, Toray Dermizax_NX, delivering a hydrostatic head of 20,000 mmH2O and a breathability rating of 32,000 g/m²/24h. A durable water repellent, DWR, finish sheds light precipitation and helps moisture wick away from the face fabric. Functionally laid out, the jacket features a two-way front zipper for flexible ventilation and access, underarm ventilation zips to dump heat during strenuous climbs, and an adjustable waist to fine tune the fit over mid layers. The fixed hood is adjustable to sit comfortably with or without a helmet. Cuffs are adjustable to seal out snow and to work with gloves. Storage includes a dedicated phone pocket and vertical chest pockets for quick access to maps or a compass. The loose fit allows unrestricted movement and efficient layering in variable conditions, while internal trims incorporate virgin wool in targeted areas for comfort and natural moisture management.
