Osmo Country Colour in Cedar Redwood is an exterior wood finish designed to protect wood surfaces from weather and UV exposure while resisting water and dirt. It provides a microporous, breathable coating that helps reduce wood swelling and shrinkage and does not crack, peel, or flake. The finish is maintenance-friendly, requiring no sanding for future applications. Typical drying time is 10–12 hours, and a single coat covers about 26 m². For best results, two coats are recommended. Application should be done on clean, dry, frost-free wood, with the product stirred well and not thinned. If feasible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation, and apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain using an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller. The product is an opaque, natural oil alternative for exterior joinery and combines oil-like benefits with the look of paint, while remaining microporous and flexible to prevent cracking.”

Usage and application

1. 1) Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free before application.
2. 2) Stir well and do not thin; apply the first coat to all sides before installation if possible.
3. 3) Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain with an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller.
4. 4) Allow to dry for approximately 10–12 hours under good conditions; apply a second coat for best results.
5. 5) After initial use, maintain by reapplying as needed; no sanding is required for future applications.
