Description
Osmo UV Protection Oil Tints in Light Oak is a natural, oil-based, microporous exterior finish designed to protect vertical timber surfaces from weathering and greying. It provides a tinted colour while offering UV protection, helping to preserve the natural appearance of wood for longer. The product is suitable for windows, doors, cladding, fencing and other vertical joinery, and is formulated to resist cracking, peeling and blistering. It creates a breathable, durable coating that reduces swelling and shrinkage and helps guard against algae, mould and fungal growth. Coverage is approximately 18 m² per litre per coat, with two coats recommended on raw timber and application temperatures between +5°C and 35°C. A note advises that some wood species may require weathering before application.
The finish is designed to be easy to apply, maintain and renovate, while offering long-lasting protection against grey patina from sun exposure. It is suitable for exterior use on vertical timber and aims to keep wood looking vibrant by slowing colour fade, while maintaining breathability to prevent moisture-related issues.
