Description
Osmo UV Protection Oil Tints in Oak is a lightly pigmented, satin, natural oil-based finish that forms a microporous coating to protect exterior wood. It protects against weathering and slows greying, helping preserve colour while adding a tinted shade. The product is designed for vertical surfaces and is suitable for windows, doors, cladding, fencing and other joinery. It is solvent-based with a high VOC content and provides UV protection, with a factor of 12 compared with untreated wood. It is water- and dirt-resistant, helps reduce swelling and shrinkage, and resists algae, mildew and fungi. The coating will not crack, flake, peel or blister and is easy to apply, maintain and renovate.
Applied as a second coat after the first, it offers durable protection for exterior timber and contributes to timber performance over time. The finish is breathable, allowing surfaces to dry and move naturally, while biocides help guard against mould and fungal attack.
