Paul en casa: à la maison (Sillón Orejero)

Astisendo Grupo Editorial Paul En Casa Comic. Paul at Home is the most personal book by Quebec author Michel Rabagliati, a fascinating, moving, and often funny look at loss and loneliness as retirement looms larger than college.Paul´s divorce, after three decades of being with his high school sweetheart, takes a backseat. In the midst of all this emotional turmoil, Paul visits his ailing mother in the last months of her life.Like Paul, she divorced late in life after a long marriage and spent most of her remaining years alone or in unsatisfying relationships, something Paul implicitly fears will happen to him.Online dating only seems to make things worse… Rabagliati doesn´t shy away from intimate issues, addressing them with both self-deprecating humor and sadness or pain.Characterized by its deep insight and willingness to poke fun at life´s shortcomings, Paul at Home is a playful and poetic reflection on loss and the sometimes unsettling changes that accompany middle age.The series has won several awards in its home country of Canada and nominations at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.Paul at Home was part of the official selection of the Angoulême International Comics Festival and was a finalist for the France Télévision Audience Award.Michel Rabagliati is a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France and has won the Doug Wright, Joe Schuster, and Harvey Awards. tradeinn Techinn
