It's the traditional way to prepare matcha tea and the tool that changes the cup most. HOW TO WHISK MATCHA: Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl, add 10ml of hot water (70-80°C) and whisk into a paste. Add 30ml more and whisk briskly in M and W shapes, from the wrist, until a fine froth forms. That's your 40ml matcha shot, ready to drink or pour. HOT, ICED OR TRADITIONAL: Pour your matcha shot over 200ml of hot or iced milk for a café-style matcha latte (oat milk is our go-to), or top up with hot water for classic usucha. Works with ceremonial and everyday matcha powder alike. MADE TO LAST WITH THE RIGHT CARE: Soak the prongs in hot water for 30 seconds before each use to soften the bamboo and prevent breakage.
