Before first use Add the recommended engine oil before starting. Read the owner's manual, check the oil level and follow the commissioning instructions. The manufacturer specifies unleaded petrol with an octane rating of 90–95 and no more than 10% ethanol. During the first 20 operating hours, do not connect loads exceeding 50% of rated output. Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours and follow the maintenance schedule in the manual. Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's clearance, earthing, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.
