POC Fornix MIPS POW JJ ski helmet. A purpose-built helmet that combines a polycarbonate shell with in-mould construction and an EPS liner to deliver a consistent balance of impact protection and controlled weight. Safety is layered. The helmet features MiPS, a low-friction liner intended to reduce rotational forces during oblique impacts, alongside the EPS energy-absorbing foam. The hard PC shell works with the in-mould design to maintain structural integrity while keeping weight down, approximately 500 g depending on size. Comfort and fit are managed by POC’s 3D Fit system, which allows precise adjustment for a secure, stable feel. Earpads are detachable to suit changing conditions or personal preference. The helmet includes a rear goggle fastening to keep eyewear secure on the move. Ventilation is adjustable, so airflow can be increased on warmer days or reduced when conditions turn colder. The overall design suits downhill skiing where reliable protection, a close fit and simple, practical features are required.
