Unlock complete creative control over your environment with the PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5-49mm filter from the acclaimed McKinnon Series. Engineered for discerning photographers and videographers using DSLR and mirrorless cameras, this premium filter is a masterclass in optical innovation, combining two essential tools into one seamless, professional-grade unit. Say goodbye to carrying multiple filters and hello to a streamlined workflow that never compromises on quality. This versatile filter provides a powerful combination of a Variable Neutral Density (VND) and a Circular Polarizer (PL), giving you unparalleled command over light and reflections. Master any daylight lighting condition with a versatile 2-to-5 stop range of light reduction. This control is essential for videographers aiming to maintain cinematic shutter speeds (double the frame rate) for natural motion blur, or for photographers wanting to use wide apertures for a shallow depth of field, even in the brightest sun.Simultaneously, the integrated circular polarizer breathes life into your scenes. By simply rotating the filter, you can cut through harsh glare and reflections on non-metallic surfaces like water, glass, and foliage, revealing stunning clarity and detail that would otherwise be lost. This polarization dramatically enhances color saturation and contrast, making blue skies deeper and landscapes more vibrant, directly out of the camera. At the heart of this filter is PolarPro's groundbreaking Chroma glass technology, which guarantees zero color shift and perfect color neutrality across the entire VND range. This pristine optical performance ensures that your colors remain true-to-life, saving you valuable time in post-production color correction. The CinemaSeries™ Glass is crafted in Germany, delivering exceptional sharpness and clarity to resolve the finest details from your high-resolution sensors.Designed in collaboration with Peter McKinnon, this filter is built for the rigors of field use. A revolutionary haptic feedback mechanism provides a subtle, tactile click at each stop, allowing you to make precise adjustments by feel without ever taking your eye off your composition. The aerospace-grade aluminum frame is both lightweight and durable, featuring laser-etched stop indicators for clear visual reference. For ultimate protection, the filter includes the Defender360™ case, a rugged, sealed container that serves as both a front and back cap, safeguarding your investment from dust, water, and impact.
