"Ponda means time. For me it was time to pay tribute to several people who made of me the musician I became. This is why artists like the Brazilian Tania Maria, the Senegalese Hady Diallo, the Congolese Samba Ngoh and of course, my father Francis Bebey were naturally mixed. I first learned classical piano and am delighted to have been able to record a 16-string ensemble conducted by Line Kruse.
