The Preston Innovations Gauge Plummet (P022) redefines what a simple fishing weight can achieve, transforming the crucial task of depth finding from a chore into a precise science. Designed for the discerning match, coarse, and pleasure angler, this plummet is engineered to give you a definitive advantage on the bank, ensuring you know the exact depth and nature of your swim every single time. Stop guessing and start fishing with the confidence that your rig is positioned flawlessly.Innovative Design for Ultimate Ease of Use and PrecisionAt the heart of the Gauge Plummet´s superior performance is its meticulously crafted design. Every feature is built to enhance accuracy and streamline your setup process. The large loop makes the Preston plummets extremely easy to use, even when using a hair rigged bait band while the groove keeps your line in place and ensures that the plummet hangs straight at all times. This vertical alignment is critical, a plummet that hangs at an angle on an uneven or sloped lakebed can give you a false depth reading, leading to poor presentation. The Gauge Plummet´s central groove eliminates this variable, providing a true vertical drop and an honest measurement you can trust, session after session. The plummets also feature a soft foam base which ensures your hook point is secure and will not blunt. This unique feature is a game-changer. Traditional lead plummets can easily damage or turn over the fine point of a modern, chemically-sharpened hook. With the P022 Gauge Plummet, your hook point is gently but firmly held in the dense foam, protecting its integrity and ensuring it remains razor-sharp for when that crucial bite comes.Map the Bottom with Sonar-Like FeelThink of the Preston Innovations Gauge Plummet as your personal, manual sonar system. The combination of its dense body and unique shape allows you to not only find the depth but also to interpret the topography of the lakebed with incredible sensitivity. As you lift and lower the plummet across your swim, you can feel the distinct donk of hard gravel, the softer thud of clay, or the tell-tale muffled landing on silt or weed. This tactile feedback is invaluable, enabling you to build a detailed mental map of the features in front of you and position your bait on the most productive spots, such as the clean edge of a silt bed or a gravel patch where fish are naturally feeding.Technical Specifications and VersatilityEngineered for performance, the Gauge Plummet is a must-have in any angler´s seatbox. Its robust construction ensures it will withstand countless sessions on the bank, providing reliable data every time you need it.* Model: Preston Innovations P022 Gauge Plummet* Line Alignment: Centralised line-locating groove for a true vertical hang* Hook Protection: Unique soft foam base to prevent hook point damage* Application: Ideal for pole fishing, waggler, and feeder depth findingAvailable in two sizes 20 & 30g.The 20g version is perfect for most commercial and stillwater scenarios, offering enough weight to get down quickly without causing excessive disturbance.
