Tom and Evelyn, a couple of English-speaking foreign tourists, arrive in the Spanish region of Benavis in order to sail the next day to the nearby island of Almanzora for a few days of vacation. The couple rest from their trip to the island in a bar, where they find everything as if the people had left in a hurry, even leaving the chickens in the oven, already charred. While Tom goes in search of food, a girl comes in and caresses Evelyn´s belly, smiling at her without saying a word and then leaving. After eating, the couple go in search of the hotel, where there is also no adult person.
