This 35 year old Grande Champagne Cognac has that quintessential charactersitic of delicacy and elegance on the nose with a subtle mix of oak spice and balsam; on the palate dried fruits, orange rind and blossom combined with rich, oily unctuous notes and clearly discernible the famed rancio charentais notes. Ragnaud Sabourin Fontvieille No 35 is matured as a vintage; the name illustrating the minimum age of the Cognac Produced using approximately 60% Ugni Blanc and 40% Folle Blanche. The latter being very hard to grow on Cognac's chalky soils but delivers the most wonderfully aromatic and complex Coganc which matures like velvet. From arguably the finest estate in all of Cognac this very old Cognac combines the power of maturity and the finesse of the region. "For many connoisseurs, the Raganaud-Sabourin estate is the Mecca of the whole region. The families fruity and well-balanced brandies remain a yardstick with which to judge the best products of the Grande Champagne" Nicholas Faith, Classic Brandy At Ragnaud Sabourin there is no blending between the years, no sweetening and no colouring. Limited quantity production of the highest quality.
