Rapala X-Rap Otus Swimbait 170 mm 40gUnleash a truly formidable creature into the water with the Rapala X-Rap® Otus. This masterfully engineered lure combines Rapal´s renowned and fish-catching X-Rap® construction with a beautifully color-matched, oversized curl tail to create a seamless and deadly effective hybrid swimbait. Designed to excel where other lures fall short, the Otus is your ultimate weapon for tempting large, wary predators in all conditions. With its meticulously calibrated slow sink rate and a wide, wafting soft tail, the X-Rap® Otus stands as the ideal choice for cold water and challenging fishing conditions. When predators are lethargic and unwilling to chase fast-moving baits, the subtle and tantalizing action of the Otus proves simply irresistible. During a steady retrieve, the hard-body front section rolls seductively from side-to-side, creating maximum flash and water displacement, while the enormous curl tail pulses and breathes behind it with a mesmerizing, life-like motion. This dual-action presentation perfectly mimics a struggling or wounded baitfish, broadcasting powerful visual and vibrational cues that trigger an instinctual predatory response from pike, musky, large zander, and other trophy-sized hunters. The magic of the Otus truly shines when the retrieve is paused. The large soft tail acts as a parachute, stabilizing the lure and creating a slow, hovering descent as it swims tantalizingly into the depths. This unique parachute fall keeps the lure in the strike zone for an extended period, giving hesitant fish the perfect opportunity to commit and attack. This technique is exceptionally effective for targeting suspended fish or working methodically along weed lines and drop-offs.Built for battle, the soft tail is firmly and securely attached to the main body with a robust 6-point stainless plate, ensuring it can withstand vicious strikes and prolonged fights with powerful fish without failing. Understanding the rigors of big game angling, a spare tail is conveniently included with every lure, extending its lifespan and giving you the confidence to cast into the heart of predator territory. Falling within the versatile 151-205 mm size and 30-49 gr weight class, this lure is perfectly balanced for standard pike and musky tackle.Technical Specifications:* Model: Rapala X-Rap® Otus* Action: Slow Sinking* Body Length: 170 mm / 17 cm* Weight: 40 g* Running Depth: 0.5 – 1.0 m* Key Feature: X-Rap® Hard Body with Soft Curl Tail* Attachment: 6-Point Stainless Plate Tail Lock System* Included: One Spare Tail. tradeinn Waveinn
