OUR HISTORY: Real Club Deportivo Mallorca was founded in 1916 under the name Alfonso XIII Foot-Ball Club. In 1917, the Catalan Federation admitted the Real Sociedad Alfonso XIII to take part in the Second League championship as the unofficial champion of the Balearic Islands. The team reached the final and won. In 1931 the name was officially changed to Club Deportivo Mallorca and in 1949 it was definitively changed to Real Club Deportivo Mallorca. OUR GREATEST SUCCESSES: In 1960 they got their first promotion to First Division, where they have played 29 seasons since then. The biggest national success was to win the Copa del Rey in the 2002-03 season, and the Spanish Supercopa in 1998. Internationally, they have participated twice in UEFA Champions League and three times in UEFA Europa League. OUR SCOPE: There are RCD Mallorca teams in all the categories of youth football, as well as a football team that competes in LaLiga Genuine. In addition, the club’s working hard to have a women's football team again. The Real Mallorca Foundation exists in order to be able to benefit, through football, all the disadvantaged groups around this sport. Integration and inclusion are the tools to achieve this goal.
