Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain provides durable protection for exterior wood surfaces, designed to preserve appearance for up to 10 years. It is water-based and easy to apply, requiring no base coats or primers. Suitable for smooth planed exterior wood such as doors and windows, it should not be used on decking. The stain dries in about 1 hour and covers roughly 18 m² per litre. Available in Walnut (250 ml), it features a low VOC formulation and is BBA approved.”

Usage and preparation

Before applying, choose a dry day with a temperature above 10°C. For stained or varnished wood, sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to remove old finishes and smooth it, then clean with white spirit to remove dust. For new wood, lightly sand and wipe down with white spirit before it dries. Stir the tin thoroughly to mix the colour pigment, and test the Woodstain on a small patch to confirm the colour.
