Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint is a water-based coating designed to provide a tough, durable finish for metal surfaces. It can be applied directly to rust without a primer, making it suitable for minimal preparation and both indoor and outdoor use. The satin-finish paint offers up to 15-year protection against corrosion and weathering. The product is available in Black (other colors available) in a 750ml size, with coverage up to 8m² per litre, and a dry time that is showerproof in 30 minutes. A recoat between 2 and 4 hours is recommended, with 2–3 coats for maximum durability. It can be applied by brush, roller, or sprayer (dilute with about 10% water for spraying). The paint is water-based and has a low VOC content, suitable for a variety of metal surfaces including cast iron, galvanised steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and even wood where applicable. This formulation emphasizes direct-to-metal performance with rust resistance and relatively quick recoat capability.

Usage
