Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint is a water-based coating designed for metal surfaces, including bare metal and rust. It can be applied directly to rust without a primer, delivering a durable finish that is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The paint dries to a showerproof state in about 30 minutes and offers up to 15 years of protection against rust and weathering. It is available in Gloss, Satin, and Matt finishes and covers approximately 8 m² per litre. Typical application methods include brush, roller, or sprayer, with 2–3 coats recommended for maximum protection. Drying and recoat times are relatively quick, with a low-odour formula that cleans up easily. Sizes available include 250ml, 750ml, and 2.5L, and the product is designed for use on interior and exterior bare metal as well as other compatible materials.
