# Preparation Before Application

To achieve the best results, it is recommended that the wood is clean before application. Use a stiff brush to remove any dirt and debris. Although Fence Life Plus+ can be applied to damp wood, it should not be dripping wet. If it has rained on the day of application, wait at least five hours before starting. The treatment cannot be applied in rainy conditions, and temperatures must be above 10°C for optimal drying performance.

Rough sawn wood typically requires two coats, while smooth planed wood benefits from three coats. If the wood has weathered considerably, an extra coat may be necessary. # Application Methods
