- Ensure the temperature is above 10°C and avoid painting on rainy days.

- For new wood: Allow it to weather for six weeks. Lightly sand the surface to remove fibres, then wipe it down with a damp lint-free cloth using methylated spirit.

- For old wood: Sand down to remove loose paint and create a smooth surface. Clean with white spirit to eliminate dirt and grease, and address any mould or rotten sections appropriately.

- Other surfaces such as brick and terracotta also require specific preparation, including cleaning and sanding.

Application

- Stir the paint thoroughly to mix colour pigments before applying.
