Application
Before starting, ensure you choose a warm, dry day with temperatures above 10°C. Begin by thoroughly cleaning your deck to remove dirt, loose wood, and any old coatings. A stiff brush is perfect for scrubbing, and for optimal results, use Ronseal Decking Cleaner & Reviver. This product enhances paint adhesion and longevity. After cleaning, rinse the deck thoroughly with water or a jet wash, and allow it to dry completely before applying the paint.
Once you're ready to paint, stir the Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint well using a broad tool, such as an old wooden spoon, and check the colour in an inconspicuous area of the deck. Load your brush generously with paint. Start applying from the farthest corner, working along the length of the boards and focusing on 3-4 boards at a time to prevent overlap marks. For any small cracks, ensure to brush in extra paint to fill them effectively.
For the best results, apply two coats of paint, allowing a drying time of 4 hours between each coat. After a complete drying period of 48 hours, your deck will be ready for use, and you can place your furniture back without worry.
In case of accidental paint spillage, wash the affected area of your skin with warm, soapy water.
