Rustins Knotting 300ml

Rustins Knotting White is a fast-drying sealing product designed to seal knots in wood, including resinous and creosoted timber, to prevent bleed-through and ensure a smooth, paintable finish. It provides a white base to help prevent resin or sap staining and supports the use of primers and paints on both interior and exterior projects. The product is supplied in 300ml tubes and is compatible with most paints and varnishes, forming a durable, stain-resistant surface for subsequent coatings.

Usage

1. Prepare the surface by sanding it smooth before application.
2. Apply knotting liberally over knots and surrounding areas.
3. Do not sand the knotting after application.
4. Seal resinous and creosoted timber with two coats for complete coverage.

Do not use under dyes, stains, water-based varnishes, or water-based paints. If a water-based coating will be used, first seal the knotting with an oil-based primer or undercoat.
