Usage and application

Prepare the surface by sanding it smooth before applying the knotting liberally over knots and surrounding areas. For resinous and creosoted timber, seal completely with two coats. Do not sand the knotting once applied. Do not use under polyurethane clear varnishes, water-based varnishes, or water-based paints. If a water-based coating is to be used, first seal the knotting with an oil-based primer or undercoat to prevent knotting discolouration. Knotting should be used to seal knots in wood to prevent bleeding through paint films and is suitable for interior and exterior wood surfaces.

Do not use under dyes, stains, water-based varnishes, or water-based paints. If a water-based coating is used, seal the knotting first with an oil-based primer or undercoat. Do not sand the knotting after application. Do not use under polyurethane clear varnishes.
