Rustins Wood Bleach Set A & B Solution 500 ml

The Rustins Wood Bleach Set is a two-part solution designed to remove weather stains and discolorations from bare wood, whitening or lightening natural timber so it can later be stained with Rustins Wood Dyes. It is intended for use on bare wood only and requires removing any varnish, lacquer, or polish before application. To prepare the surface, old finishes should be stripped with a compatible paint and varnish stripper, then scraped, dampened with stripper, and sanded with fine steel wool before wiping clean and allowing to dry. The bleaching process involves applying solution A to clean, dry wood, waiting 10–20 minutes, then applying solution B. Some woods may darken upon application of solution A, while the actual bleaching occurs after solution B. A single coat of each solution is typically used, with re-application if the wood remains very dark. The product is sold as a 500ml set intended to enable subsequent staining to a different wood shade.
