Sadolin Classic Wood Protection in Jacobean Walnut is designed to deeply absorb into timber, providing weather protection and durability for large timber surfaces. It is effective on areas such as cladding, fascias, decking, and rough sawn timber, and serves as a base stain for new joinery that will be treated with Sadolin Extra. The product is not suitable for surfaces previously coated with a medium/high build coating. This 5 litre formulation provides coverage suitable for planed softwood or hardwood up to 15 m² per litre, and up to 8 m² per litre on rough sawn timber, with a touch dry time of 4–6 hours and a recoat time of 16–24 hours.
