This robust, 7-section aluminium probe is engineered for reliability and speed when it matters most. Designed for efficient avalanche rescue, its thoughtful construction provides the confidence needed to navigate and respond to emergency situations in unpredictable mountain environments. The Sella Aluminium 280 Probe is a 7-section aluminium probe for ski touring and avalanche rescue. The oversized cross-section gives maximum stiffness, while the pull grips and automatic latching enable rapid assembling in emergency situations. Its 5 cm markings show you how far you are plunging, and the teardrop-shaped tip gives improved probing penetration. In a high-stress rescue scenario, fumbling with gear is not an option. That´s why the Sella 280 features an intuitive speed-assembling pull grip and an automatic latching system. This combination allows for near-instantaneous deployment from its compact, folded state into a fully locked, rigid 280 cm probe, ensuring that every second is used effectively. The stiff, oversized cross-section prevents unwanted flexion, providing better feedback and control as you probe through variable snow layers and debris, increasing the accuracy of your search. Coated steel tensioning cables further enhance this rigidity and durability, guaranteeing performance in cold and demanding conditions.Effective probing is more than just speed, it´s about precision. The Sella 280´s effective teardrop-shaped tip is specifically engineered to give improved probing penetration, cutting through hard snowpack and ice layers with greater efficiency. This design reduces user fatigue and increases the speed of your search pattern. Clear, large 5cm depth markings are printed along the entire length of the probe, allowing you to quickly and accurately communicate burial depth to your rescue party. For enhanced destination recognition, the last segment is distinctly coloured, providing a clear visual cue as you approach your target. When the search is over, it collapses down to a compact folded pack size, taking up minimal space in your avalanche safety kit.Key Features:* Light and strong for efficient transport and reliable use* Reliable 7-section aluminium avalanche probe design* Stiff oversize cross-section for enhanced probing accuracy* Speed assembling pull grip for lightning-fast deployment* Automatic latching system ensures a secure and rigid lock* Durable coated steel tensioning cables* Effective teardrop-shaped tip for superior snow penetration* Large 5cm depth markings for precise depth measurement* Last segment coloured for destination recognition* Compact folded pack size for easy storage in a backpackAttribute: ProbesTechnical Specifications:* Material: Alu 7075, PA, Alu 6061* Weight: 328 g* Length Extended: 280 cm* Length Collapsed: 46 cm* Diameter: 12.9 mm. tradeinn Snowinn
