The Salomon Steep is a ski pole intended for use while skiing. Ski poles can support rhythm and balance as you move across the slope. When initiating a turn, planting the pole can provide a clear reference point for the timing of your movement. This makes pole use a practical part of skiing technique during a descent. Ski poles are also useful on flatter sections. By placing the poles beside the body and pushing against the snow, you can add support when moving forward. During short stationary moments, the poles also provide a useful point of contact with the snow. The Steep is therefore designed as a functional part of your ski equipment. Choosing the correct pole length is important for a natural stance and comfortable pole placement. The exact design of the grip, strap, shaft and tip is not further specified for this model. The Salomon Steep is therefore described around its core function: supporting balance, rhythm, propulsion and pole use while skiing.
