The 7th string, made specifically for Yamandu Costa, can be tuned to A, B or C while retaining its playing characteristics. High-quality treble and bass strings: E1 and H/B2 are made of New Crystal Nylon, G3 of fluorocarbon. The bass strings have a synthetic core and are wound with silver-plated copper wire – for a balanced and characterful response. High Tension for precise playing: The coordinated high-tension design ensures a defined string set and direct response. E1: 0.75 mm/7.8 kg; H/B2: 0.85 mm/5.8 kg; G3: 0.86 mm/6.1 kg; D4: 0.76 mm/7.6 kg; A5: 0.90 mm/7.1 kg; E6: 1.12 mm/7.0 kg. Versatile 7th string: The special 7th string offers flexible tuning options for different musical requirements. At C it reaches 10.1 kg, at H/B 9.0 kg and at A 7.1 kg of tension – with each of the three tunings having its own characteristic playing properties. Thoughtful packaging, proven tradition: The bass strings are individually protected in bags with self-adhesive anti-oxidation paper.
