The Marathon Plus tyre has been revamped after 10 years of success, featuring a new tread pattern and several internal improvements to raise its performance. It is a flat-less, puncture-resistant option that remains Schwalbe’s best-selling model. The 5 mm SmartGuard belt provides durable protection, while the tyre’s rolling resistance is enhanced by this design. The SmartGuard also contains a proportion of recycled rubber from old latex products, contributing to sustainability. An “anti-aging” sidewall helps prevent cracking when run at low pressures, and the tyre is suitable for E-Bike use up to 50 km/h. Available in multiple formats for city, countryside and dirt-track riding, the Marathon Plus line includes the ORIGINAL (low rolling resistance), the TOUR (versatile trekking tread) and the MTB variant, which combines strong grip off-road with easy rolling on paved surfaces. The tyres are clincher, with TwimSkin sidewalls, reflective strips, and StVZO approval for reliable urban and touring use.
