Sealey RCD981 RCD Safety Adaptor 230V

The RCD Safety Adaptor 230V is designed to enhance electrical safety by automatically cutting power when an imbalance between live and neutral is detected, typically caused by leakage to earth. It prevents any plugged-in appliance from restarting after a general power failure, since it does not automatically reset. The adaptor requires no wiring and plugs directly into a standard 13A socket, making it easy to use with a wide range of indoor and outdoor appliances. It is compliant with BS 7071:1992 standards and is identified by model RCD981. This device is suitable for protecting against electrocution by interrupting power when leakage is detected, and it remains in a non-reset state after a power outage, ensuring continued safety until manually reset. The unit is compact, lightweight, and designed for straightforward operation in everyday environments.
