The Seymour Duncan SH-3 Stag Mag pickup is a very unique humbucker, consisting of two distinct single coil pickups with magnetic poles, unlike traditional humbuckers that have a magnetic bar at the base of the poles. This design difference, along with the 4-core wiring, allows you to achieve a split that reveals a true single coil in its own right, similar to the vintage models for Strat. Non-split, with its two coils and rows of poles, the Stag Mag delivers a perfect, rich and full humbucker sound with well-defined highs. It is a very versatile pickup that will easily match any type of wood for the keyboard. For a two-microphone setup, we recommend pairing it with an Alnico II Pro or Pearly Gates in the handle position. Handmade in the Seymour Duncan laboratory in Santa Barbara, California, USA, the Stag Mag features Alnico 2 magnets, a nickel-silver plate and has been wax treated to prevent microphone.
