Description
The Shire Bucknells 3.6m x 3m Log Cabin Summerhouse combines the character of a summerhouse with the robustness of a log cabin. Built in Britain from 28mm Northern European pine, it offers a sturdy, well-insulated garden room that can be enjoyed year-round. The floor and roof are 14mm tongue and groove, with pressure-treated bearers under the floor to protect against ground moisture. The roof features a traditional apex design and a mineral-felt cover for weatherproofing. The timber is FSC® certified, reflecting sustainable forestry.
Access is via a partially-glazed door with a key-operated lock, while a large opening window provides natural light and ventilation. Both door and window use mortise and tenon joinery, with draught excluders for improved insulation. The glazing is 4mm toughened glass. This cabin is supplied untreated and comes with assembly instructions and a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee. It should be installed on a solid, level base and treated with a high-quality preservative upon assembly; annual treatment is recommended, with coloured preservative as an optional option.
The Bucknells is manufactured in the UK and is available in a range of sizes. As the building’s total height is 2.5m, planning permission is not usually required.
