SikaBond SBR (and Sikabond SBR+ variants) is a one-component, water-based styrene-butadiene rubber emulsion used as an adhesive, primer, bonding agent, and mortar admixture. It enhances adhesion, workability, and waterproofing of mortars, and is suitable for areas subject to humidity, dampness, and water contact. The product provides improved water resistance by forming a reinforcing polymer within cementitious mixes, increasing durability and flexibility of renders and floor screeds. It is flexible, exterior-use capable, and adheres to a wide range of substrates including steel, concrete, brick, tiles, wood, asphalt, and expanded polystyrene. It helps reduce the water-to-cement ratio, enabling thinner, more workable sections, and offers resistance to salt permeation, chemicals, and frost; it remains effective under wet conditions and is suitable for tile adhesive flexibilisation on wooden or asphalt floors. Available packaging includes sizes such as 5 litres and 25 litres, with variations in labeling.
