This smoke detector is powered by a sealed battery. This battery has the same lifespan as your device: 10 years. So you don't have to worry about replacing it before it becomes obsolete. An indicator light tells you the status of your detector: normal operation, malfunction, end of life... But be sure to test it regularly to make sure it is working properly. The detector has a highly sensitive photoelectric sensor. It will therefore alert you quickly in the event of a fire, even a smouldering one. If necessary, you can press the test/silent button to switch off the siren while you neutralise the source of smoke. Mounting hardware (screws and dowels) is included.
