Palate: Despite weighing in at a punchy 52.8% ABV, it is remarkably soft on the palate; it opens with an oiliness that coats the mouth, bringing forward marzipan and a slight hint of ginger, this is followed by a delicate wisp of wood smoke. Finish: It is wonderfully creamy and sweet on finish, lingering with a very subtle hint of smoked spices.
