CLASSIC JAPANESE EXPRESSION FROM NIKKA - A beloved classic in Japan since 1962, Super Nikka was inspired by the late wife of Nikka’s founder, Masataka Taketsuru. This elegant blend combines Coffey grain whisky with malts from Nikka’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. FRUITY & RICH WITH SUBTLE PEAT - This expertly blended whisky provides a light, stone fruit character with hints of orange peel and marzipan along with subtle peaty flavours and rich sherry notes. IN HONOUR OF NIKKA’S FOUNDER’S WIFE, RITA - Super Nikka was created in honour of Masataka Taketsuru's Scottish wife, Rita, who passed away in 1961. This whisky was supposed to reflect her character and be reminiscent of the whiskies that Rita would have tasted growing up in Scotland in the early 20th century. THE FATHER OF JAPANESE WHISKY - Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, who is often referred to as “The Father of Japanese Whisky”. Taketsuru travelled to Scotland in 1918 to learn the art of whisky-making. Returning to Japan in 1920 he blended traditional Scotch production techniques with Japanese precision and founded Nikka which went on to become one of the country’s most iconic whisky brands. BEST ENJOYED NEAT OR IN A CLASSIC HIGHBALL - Super Nikka is a fruity and complex whisky that is best enjoyed neat or served long over ice, topped up with soda.
